My bachelor's thesis examines different methods for different phases in QR code recognition from a photographed picture. It is a pure literature review.
My master's thesis examines how video encoding works and what methods there are available for encoding data into video image in such way that it is machine readable afterwards. As the end result it suggests that a custom symmetric matrix style two dimensional barcode would be an appropriate and robust method to encode data into images and describes a detector that can be used to read that data.
